Typically, an immigration physical will take up to two hours for one applicant. The exact amount of time the actual physical will take depends greatly on a patient’s health and vaccination history. Adding to the overall time of the physical are any screenings that need to be processed in our lab or additional vaccinations that need to be administered. During this initial discussion, they will collect your medical history and vaccine records that you have brought with you. Documentation of previous vaccines must be provided to be accepted for an immigration physical. After that paperwork is finished, our Medical Assistant will take your vitals and escort you into an exam room. The Civil Surgeon will then administer the physical portion of your Immigration Physical. After that is completed, any needed lab tests, vaccinations, or other blood work will be conducted.
At this point, the physical examination portion of your Immigration Physical will be complete. If the doctor determines you need a to be tested for Tuberculosis, our doctor will administer a T-Spot, a TB Blood Test. If there is a Syphilis Test (RPR), you should expect to wait four to five days for those results. With this in mind, please allow for at least seven days from your first visit with us before you can pick up your completed USCIS Certified Immigration Packet.
Picking up your completed USCIS Certified Immigration Packet

The completion of your packet usually occurs seven days after your visit once all test results and other certifications have been finalized. A sealed envelope with your completed packet will be given to you, certified by our physicians. Please do not open this envelope and instead give it to your Immigration Lawyer and the Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services.
